A Street View car bursts through the pearly gates of heaven to photograph the streets of gold. St. Peter chases behind, calling for back up on his walkie talkie.

If you’re viewing this and the image is a black and white line drawing only, it means I haven’t yet had the time to colour it and once I do, it will be replaced with the colour version.

If the image above is in colour, please ignore the preceding sentence and oooh, isn’t it pretty?

I’m not sure where this idea came from. Maybe I was just thinking about how prolific Google has become, with its mapping of Earth, the moon, Mars, etc., and was considering where else it might seek to spread.

Heaven was one of the places that sprang to mind. I’m sure heaven’s security is better than this (and in fact infallible), but this is just one of those ‘what if’ thoughts I decided to document. Actually, it wouldn’t surprise me if Google has already attempted this or at least thought about attempting it.

I like the little devious look on the face of the driver (that I imagine is on the faces of most Google Street View drivers) as he speeds through the gates and the concerned appearance of (assumed) St. Peter chasing behind.

It’s quite possible that I’m shooting myself in the foot with this cartoon, drawing this and then hoping / expecting it to rank well on Google [not so smiley face].

This drawing won’t be available for sale in the usual places because of copyright issues.

I’m going to be taking a break over the next few weeks and will resume normal transmission sometime in January.

Thank you for reading the ramblings and looking at the drawings thus far. Special thanks to those who have made purchases. It’s very much appreciated.

Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.
