Typically most images for this verse of the carol comprise of three chooks standing around, intertwined with some Christmas decorations.
While thinking about all things French and what to draw for this cartoon, images of hens wearing berets and bearing cheese and wine sprang to mind, but once again, Google informed me that these were already in existence.
Others I saw depicted chooks with the Eiffel Tower in the background and some even had hens wearing Marcel Marceau tops. Wanting to do something different and imagining what else French hens might be wearing or doing, I recalled the theatrical French paintings by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and concluded the hens could be wearing flamboyant dresses while doing the Can-Can (Can-Canning?).
Admittedly I overlooked including a Santa hat in in this cartoon, but I will pretend it was because the fancy feathered headdresses wouldn’t allow it.
